I’m also celebrating #12 this month. I have to admit I’m a bit jealous though. My wife expects me to a big deal out of it every year. She was raised in a family that has always been big on making a major event out of birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc. I’d probably be sleeping in the doghouse for weeks if all I did was say “happy anniversary” and get her a McGriddle. I can’t complain too much this year though. My wife’s family is taking the kids for a weekend so we can have an anniversary getaway in 2 weeks. Woohoo!

Congratulations – considering how many people rush headlong into the matter, and how often it ends the same way, it’s good to see people who haven’t rushed, are still in love and who’re making it work well. đ

I just recently hit my 8th and 9th anniversaries (yes, I have 2 anniversaries 1 day apart but that’s another story). My only regret is that I haven’t managed to get my wife hooked on Schlock (yet).
Would that be the wife you’ve been married to for 8 years, or the one you’ve been married to for 9 years?
