These statistics were generated using the LJ Stats Web Interface by mpnolan. Original idea from scrapdog‘s LJ Comment Stats Wizard.
I truncated the list myself at 100. It interesting to note that there were 335 names on it, and there are only about 375 people subscribed. I’ve heard from almost everybody!
(Except you. Yeah, you.)
Who, me?
couldn’t have been
Indeed, it couldn’t. was 262, and was 232.
He probably was talking about me… I been reading the comic for years, but I don’t post to the forums or LJ… until now.
Hi Howard!
He probably meant me. 🙁
Sorry! =)
Well I should start rectifying that shouldn’t I?
W00t! I am number 42!
I am twice that. That means I am twice the Answer!
As a non-sequitur, allow me to note that about the time you pointed out that Sluggy was starting to become droll, Pete started pounded out what I think is his best story yet. Today’s denoument is … perfect. You have great timing, Howard. 🙂
Interestingly enough…
… this ending of the Sluggy storyline happens just a few days after James Nicoll announced he’d stopped reading.
I think this was a good storyline, and Torg got both Redemption AND revenge out of the deal (lessee, he killed the Demon King, humiliated Horribus and left him brooding, nuts, and without followers, and saved the Dimension of Love. Not bad for an apparent LOSER.). I do wonder how Torg will handle being back home.
In Schlock, we’ve still got so many loose ends dangling that the whole universe could unravel if I pull on them, so I’m staying back from there for a while.
Sluggy has won me back
Yeah, Sluggy has my attention again. Pete really pulled this storyline up and out of the doldrums. The extra-large updates were a super treat, too.

Re: Sluggy has won me back
I’m still staying away from Sluggy.

Re: Sluggy has won me back
Pity – this is the best Sluggy I’ve seen since “Fire and Rain”… and has one of the coolest panels ever seen in a Sluggy strip.
I’m just glad Pete felt guilty enough to give us MAJOR exposition by throwing out those extra large strips for us to enjoy, especially when Torg faces Horribus – those who’ve been reading will know which panel I mean.
Re: Interestingly enough…
[nitpick]
I thought he saved the “Dimension of Lame”.
[/nitpick]
Re: Interestingly enough…
You call it what you like, I’ll call it what I like. Torg found love there, they’re all filled with love there. Just because some aspects of the dimension are annoying…
You know you talk too much when you’re #4 in someone’s journal, right behind a personal friend, his wife, and himself in that order. And I’m RIGHT behind Maynard.
Heck with it, you and Sandra appear in too many of my memes anyways. 😀 Sandra as Scott Summers (X-Men meme) and you as Jean Grey.
That, and one of you kills me in another meme.
I can’t believe commented more than I did. But that’s based on a conversation he and I had a few months back.
(Korg, if you’re reading this – :P~~~~~~)
Interesting. I knew I commented a lot here, but I didn’t know it was quite that much…
..and, I wasn’t a personal friend of Howard until after I started commenting here. Heck, all you gotta do is keep it up, and wear a costume from Schlock to a con, and you too can be a personal friend. Better hurry up with that order to Renaissance Dancewear, though…
Now I need money to get to a con, or to fly Howard up HERE…
Hmm. Maybe I could shave my head to be Lieutenant Shodan…
Certainly not the kind of thing you want to run often, though, or else you’ll start getting the bane of discussion boards – the post-count-padder. Ugh.
I really say nothing for how much I seem to say it.
*laughs* At least I made the list.
I usually don’t comment unless I think I have something constructive or humerous to say which means I don’t comment much. There are very few people who’ve done that quiz where I show up.
Guess I need to lurk more. 😛
Ayiyiyi…
Everytime I’ve seen that meme pop up on my F-list, I’ve been in the top twenty, most often in top ten [and usually a low number too.]
I. Have. No. Life !!
Woohoo, 51st place. 🙂
O.o
I’m on the list.
Eeep!
I was surprised that I was so high in the list, but I always was a chatty SOB.
I roll to disbelieve, Mr. Nonken. But then I don’t believe myself to be chatty either and look how high on the list I am. Eeek!
Obviously I no longer love you, Howard.
You were number 137. Maybe I should have truncated it at 138. 🙂
Whew. At least I beat John in something. Actually, I’m surprised I made the top 100, as I’m a habitual lurker.
Curses! I was all happy to be less of a loser than everyone else. 😉
Yay! I get to sit next to Howard on the list!
Shouldn’t that be Howard sits next to you? 😉
As long as you’re next to Howard and jmaynard’s between me and you, I’m content. 😀 I remember how you two used this like a bunch of Post-It Notes while Howard was away from home…
You lucky couple. You make me feel like Methuselah. 😀
Whoot! Number 20! (I really though I had posted at most 6 or 7 times.)
You know, by the time all this reaction is over, you might end up having to recalculate the list.
45 posts and every single one of high quality. Except this one… this post is just to pad my stats. narf.
Which is in stark contrast to me. I’ll say stuff for absolutely no apparent reason whatsoever – which often works out surprisingly well!
I think this is comment # 3 or 4, myself.
A lurker I am. 🙂
I thought I was a lurker. Guess I need a new definition…
lurking..
I don’t intend to lurk really:)
Just that sometimes I can’t think of the right thing to say, or the right way to say it.
If there’s nothing that I can contribute then I keep quiet.. I’m amased that I scored as highly as I did…
Still, keep the Schlock flag flying in the UK…
RW
Well, I usually just refrain from comment, and chuckle silently to myself. I *did* consider commenting on the names in the Chinese Buffet post, but that would have been rude. 🙂
+–Dragonbane–
Apparently, I do a lot of comments
I think I’ve usually been in the top ten commenters when I’ve seen one of these posted by a friend. I’m a bit surprised to make *your* top ten, though. You’ve got so many readers! They must all be more shy than I am. Or less loudmouthed. Something like that. 😀
