I filled out the form, and was told that these are my top ten options for careers…
1. Costume Designer
2. Set Designer
3. Website Designer
4. Special Effects Technician
5. Desktop Publisher
6. Technical Writer
7. Industrial Designer
8. Animator
9. Computer Trainer
10. Cartoonist / Comic Illustrator
Well… at least my current career made the list.
If I look at the things I’ve done for fun, for school, or for money (and include some of the world-building I’ve done for gaming and for the strip) I can honestly say that I’ve done everything on that list. I was really, really good at #6 and #9, suck rocks at #3, and managed to make money at #10 by learning to do #5 (and #s 1, 2, 3, and 7.)
Neato.
Don’t know if you’re interested, but there’s a call for subs for a publication looking for people who have gone the non-traditional publishing route. You’ve made it work fabulously well. The publication doesn’t pay (alas), but…self-pimpage?
*facepalm* And I fail at html…
1. Desktop Publisher
2. Cartoonist / Comic Illustrator
3. Animator
4. Print Journalist
5. Critic
6. Writer
7. Communications Specialist
8. Translator
9. Medical Illustrator
10. Activist
It’s amazing how quickly “cartoonist” shoots up the list once you say you don’t like to do anything.
Yeah… and then you end up with things like “critic” and “activist.” With cartooning at the top of your list, the really useless stuff starts creeping in pretty fast, too. 🙂
So does this mean that at some time- we’ll get #8, ANIMATED SCHLOCK?! 😀
Looks like a fun game; how can I play?
