The line art for this was done on the airplane from DFW to SLC on the 10th. I was experimenting with stippling, and am pretty pleased with how that aspect of it looks — even though it’s all but invisible at this resolution.
The coloring was done on a copy (I’m not ready to mess up the original yet), and I’m happy with that, too.

Hee! I like it. It’s cute.
Oh very nice…
Excellent work. Is this guy a part of some project?
My $.02
I like it quite a bit. I think the stippling is obvious, though, just in the sense that the color blends so seamlessly.
Cool, I like it.
But I don’t see the tiger anywhere?
<ducks and runs>
Hidden inside the dragon, of course.
:urp:
The dragon doesn’t look like he’s eaten yet. I think the tiger is hidden because he doesn’t want to be inside the dragon.
Maybe it’s cunningly concealed inside the dragon. 🙂
Hah, too slow! 🙂
heh. You try getting anything first on an 8-kilobit connection. Your comment was the furthest down the page I could get it to load…….
Ouch.
Maybe you could try Bob Cringely’s solution? 🙂 (Followup here)
Well, if we could afford the hardware, yeah. But if we could afford the $1500 he spent on hardware, we probably wouldn’t be in this hole in the first place.
That’s someof the best art I’ve seen from you, Howard! Kudos!
misread
heh, first time I saw the title I read “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Tagon”.
