Well, at least mono is usually less severe the younger you get it. I doubt it’s ever pleasant, though. I lost ten or fifteen pounds when I had it, because it hurt too much to swallow. (I guess that precludes eating more gum, though.)
As long as it doesn’t prelude or preclude ABC gum, I think that’d be ohkay dokay.

Actually, my reaction was, and I quote,
“Ahhhhhhhh. Ew.”
For the record, I agonized several minutes on how to transcribed the last few sentences in such a way to convey the actual content of them. I almost went ahead and typed the vocal non-word utterances, but chose instead to just note that they occurred.
As a parent, that strangled dread reaction conveys volumes of information to me. But it can be confusing to read all the vocal gymnastics that occurs during it. 🙂
